Homework?

It's all for your own good...

If I ever got lost...

Remember I mentioned someone got lost in China, and had no help??
Then she went online to request for help on Facebook... Help came when her friends' friends in China got into contact... It's in the Straits Time. Go read it...

I got a little worried because my Facebook is not working. What if I got stranded somewhere? Maybe in Malaysia.. I am going there on Monday with 15 of you....

If Miss Goh should ever get lost (which is very likely if Sheng Wei, Jovan, Chien Hui, Ka Wei and .... decides to abandon her to the wild animals and the concrete jungle in big cities), respond to her distress call in this class blog!!!! Get anybody, somebody to help me, save me, rescue me, and get me home safely...

It's the HOLIDAYS!!

And I know some of you are labouring over the homework.... and complaining about it...

Well, it's all for your own good.... Ha Ha! I borrowed this line from the Mummy in I Not Stupid, the movie.... And I think she is right.

And the holidays are not just about work...

The lucky people who are going to Malaysia and spending 3 days 2 nights with your teacher would have to report on Monday at 6.45am. Try not to give your teacher any trouble.... Take pity on her... She has to sacrifice her holidays when she could be sitting under the stars and watching the night sky in peace...

Those going to West Spring Secondary with Mdm Ang are to report at 7.30am on Tuesday.

How much of the holidays are left?

Homework - Meanings and Usage (06/03/2009)

Dear 6H,

Some of you have emailed me about the homework on Meanings and Usage. There is no usage dictionary in which to learn how to use the words. The usage is found in the main entry itself. E.g.

From Cambridge dictionary:
amicable

1. relating to behaviour between people that is pleasant and friendly often despite a difficult situation:
His manner was perfectly amicable but I felt uncomfortable.

2. relating to an agreement or decision that is achieved without arguments or unpleasantness:
Few people have amicable divorces.
Eventually we reached an amicable settlement.

So for usage, you have amicable manners / amicable divorce / amicable settlement.

Perhaps Longman has other usage. Check it out.

Regards,
Miss Goh
